Our curriculum-based pre-kindergarten program provides students with an introduction to the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual skills that they will need to start their academic careers. Through hands-on and play activities, as well as a variety of large and small group theme-based instruction, students develop language, math, fine and gross motor skills while learning a variety of concepts. Students also begin to build technology skills in our computer lab such as learning to use a mouse, keyboard and entering/exiting computer programs.
Social and emotional development is nurtured through the practice of prayers before snack and lunch, the Lord’s Prayer, and prayers for others. This first school experience affects how your student will approach learning and overall achievement. Our goal at Holy Cross is to instill a student’s thirst for knowledge.
Our pre-kindergarten is a full day program from 8:10 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Holy Cross also offers a half-day pre-kindergarten program from 8:10 to 11:45 a.m. Your student will enjoy a full morning of instruction and activities as well as enjoy lunch with his class.
Pre-kindergarten students must be four years old by September 30th.
