February 2019

  • 19th-22 – Engineers Week
    • Classes will enjoy Guest Speakers and fun interactive projects with local engineers!
  • 19th – Varsity Basketball!
    • V Girls travel to Miller School for first round of the BRC Tournament. Tip off at 4:30 pm. Good luck Lady Gaels!
    • V Boys (4th seed) battle Roanoke Catholic (5th seed) tonight at home for the first round of the VIC Tournament. Tip off is at 6:00 pm.
  • 20th – Jersey Mike’s Night
    • Have dinner (or grab dinner) at Jersey Mike’s on Old Forest Road between 4-8 pm, and mention Holy Cross School. Proceeds from dinner sales will go towards Elementary Student Government.
  • **Special Event: February 20 – March 6 – University of Lynchburg High School Art Exhibit
    • We are proud to announce that our Studio Art students, led by Mrs. Pociluyko, were invited to submit art to be displayed in an exhibition at the University of Lynchburg in the Daura Gallery.  Holy Cross School will have 4 students showcasing their artwork in the exhibition.
      • The exhibit is open to the public Feb.20 – Mar. 6, Monday-Friday, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-3:00 pm.
      • Five Merit student awards and the Meritorious High School Art Department awards will be selected by the University’s Art Department and announced at the end of the exhibition.
